Birth, parenthood, and the early days of postpartum create those rare spaces. A parent may feel exhausted, vulnerable, or transformed, yet it’s in these moments that their value becomes most visible. The changes that happen to the body during pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding are profound, and they carry meaning, strength, and significance.

Honoring Every Story

Every parent carries a story that deserves care. Every body that has carried life deserves to feel honored. Every small moment with a newborn — feeding, holding, watching — holds weight and meaning that is easy to overlook when life feels overwhelming.

Through the way we support and witness families, whether as birth workers, doulas, or photographers, we help people feel heard, valued, and seen. Sometimes that gentle affirmation is enough to give them strength, confidence, and a renewed sense of their own importance.

Photography as a Tool for Recognition

In my photography, I strive to do the same. I aim to capture the depth, honesty, and presence in the everyday moments of parenthood. To document the story of a family, the transformation of a parent, and the life of a newborn in a way that honors their significance. My goal is to remind parents that their experiences, bodies, and stories matter — not just to me, but to themselves.
