Often clients ask me how much they need to prepare for a photo session. Yes, I’ll send you an outfit guide with general suggestions for fits, fabrics, and colors — but the absolute most important thing is that you show up as yourself.
I want you to wear something you actually wear in real life. Skip buying new outfits you’ll never wear again, and feel free to leave the white or neutral clothes behind if that isn’t your style — even if the internet says it’s “best” for photos. The best outfit is simply what feels good for you and only you. This way, the pictures won’t just be “perfect” images of a family; they will be about your family. A real representation of who you are.
The same goes for your space. Your house is allowed to be lived-in; it doesn’t need to look like a Pinterest board. Your house is your house, and it’s your story. I can work around any space as long as you are there — because you are the story.
So it is very simple: it just requires you to be you. Be open, show me your connection, and we will take it from there.
